How it works
When filler is injected into the skin, it effectively smooths fine lines and wrinkles while adding volume to areas that have lost fullness. Dermal fillers essentially restore lost fat, collagen, and elastin. Hyaluronic acid is the most commonly used material. It is especially effective as it attracts and holds water, producing a plumping effect beneath the skin.
